Out To Lunch's "Political Mix" of events at AMM10, the tenth seance of the London-based Association of Musical Marxists. You hear Iris and Mordecai Watson on Stylophones (music of such anthropological incertitude it sent "radical anthropologist" Chris Knight screaming into the night); Ian Stonehouse on home-made electronics; Peter Baxter on sound drums; Ian McLachan on trombone; Mark Harvey on bass guitar and OTL on mouth noises. In the midst of this improvised anti-fetishism, you hear actress Helene Le Bohec reading the poignant phrases of Helen Macfarlane from 1850. The occasion was the launch of David Black's collection Helen Macfarlane: Red Republican, available on Unkant, the publishing wing of the AMM. All the sounds you hear derive from AMM10, held upstairs at the Cock Tavern, Phoenix Road, Somers Town, London on Monday 1st September 2014.
